Speeding sunsets wait for no one

by LCH on September 9, 2003

The sunset was stunning last night. Rivers of pinkinsh-red clouds flowed through mountains of white glowing thunderheads. And towards the east, the moon was rising over a massive thunderhead.

I wanted to paint it (on my Tablet PC, of course).

So I ran inside to get my Tablet PC and webcam. I was able to capture a couple pictures, but I quickly realized I needed a real camera.

So I bolted back inside to get my digital camera, but by the time I made it back the moment was gone. Darn, the world moves fast.

I hear Bryan was out scouting sunset shots last evening too. I can’t wait to hear if he got some good ones. These could make excellent shots to try “painting” over with on the Tablet PC.

From Messenger, Bryan reports:
“I’ll know tomorrow whether I got anything or not. I didn’t have the right camera with me (my 6×7 doesn’t have a long enough telephoto to do the moon justice.)”
