Peter’s not too sure if Microsoft’s love affair with Tablet PC kiosks is such a good idea.
I haven’t seem them, so I’m not sure. Actually, a kiosk where you could walk up, take a snapshot of yourself, handwrite a message, and email it to a friend or family member (in a standard JPG file format!!) is not that bad of an idea. Or maybe at Disneyland you could have a national Holiday card on a Tablet PC signed by all passer bys that’s sent to the troops. Partnered with the right people, this would probably make the nightly news it seems. What about an art conference or art installation where everyone could sketch out something on Tablet PCs and their work gets added to an extra-large multi-monitor mural? Lots of ideas come to mind.
I guess the point is, it all depends on what the kiosk does.
