Will flash drives be a reasonable alternative to notebook harddrives? Samsung believes so. Apple/iPod owners chime in.
Let’s see, less power, less heat, better performance. Sounds good to me. Now what about cost? And in two years time, when the pricepoint is “right” for 16GB flash memory, will we all be demanding 10 Terabytes of storage?
