How common is it for Tablet PC owners to switch back?

by LCH on April 20, 2008

I’ve been wondering how often Tablet PC owners have decided to switch back to standard notebooks? Personally, I can’t even contemplate giving up ink, although recently I just had to add a non-Tablet desktop machine to my development stockpile. I needed the speed for some C++ development.

In this article, Ashley of CyberNet talks about how she and her husband Ryan gave Averatec Tablets a spin, but because of some problems decided to switch to a more mainstream brand of standard notebooks.

Yeah, I can see how this can happen. More manufacturers need to think through this. I guess to them they don’t care whether a person owns a Tablet or a notebook, but it sure does make a difference to us developers.
