Yesterday was the first monsoon storm here in the Phoenix area and left in its wake is a lightening strike started grass fire. The fire is on the West end of town about 60 miles away from where I’m at and is spewing a huge smoke cloud. When I went out this afternoon the sun was peeking through the smoke cloud with a copperish glow. Quite impressive. I tried to take a picture with my iPhone, but the sun didn’t quite come out as impressive in color as the real thing, but it was fun nonetheless so I’m posting it here.
