DaVinci (Microsoft Surface Physics Illustrator) looks like fun

by LCH on April 2, 2009

This video shows Microsoft Surface running a permutation of the famous Physics Illustrator program. Kind of cool, isn’t it?

DaVinci (Microsoft Surface Physics Illustrator) from Razorfish – Emerging Experiences on Vimeo.

I think this was a Razorfish demo shown at Mix09.

Gotta love those physics simulators.

All of these ink-based physics simulators point to the power of open and shared source. Most of these derive from work done at MIT’s Media Lab if I’m not mistaken. Actually, I think most of them are not designed right. Ink is fine as a feature, but what should really be provided in them–especially something like a physics illustrator running on a Surface machine–is a "construction kit" where you can build physics experiments, such as cars running down a ramp and so on.
