Tablet features to get mention at Faculty Summit

by LCH on July 10, 2009

According to Mary Jo Foley Tablet features will get a mention at this week’s Faculty Summit being hosted by Microsoft: [zdnet]

Tablet computing gets its own session during next week’s Faculty Summit, with “demos from Microsoft’s Education Product Group — showing how many of the advanced technologies that stemmed from these (tablet/pen computing) investments have now been incorporated into the forthcoming release of Microsoft Office.” Microsoft Research is calling the tablet “software plus form factor.”

As odd as it sounds, Office in Education is a good match–especially in terms of content creation. Of course there’s always OneNote too.

I look forward to what Microsoft shows off. Let’s face it Tablets and education are a natural match.
